Studio Formafantasma

Studio Formafantasma is an Italian design duo based in Amsterdam, composed by Andrea Trimarchi (1983) and Simone Farresin (1980), who have been course leaders of the Design program at MADE Program since 2016.

After studying Design at the Eindhoven Design Academy, they founded Studio Formafantasma, which was included in the global list of the most innovative studios in 2011 by Paola Antonelli, curator of the Design Department at MoMA. They have received commissions from Fendi, MaxMara/Sportmax, Droog, Nodus rug, J&L Lobmeyr, Gallery Libby Sellers, and Established and Sons, among others. Their work, presented and published internationally, has been acquired for the permanent collections of MoMA and the Metropolitan Museum (NYC), the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), the Chicago Art Institute, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Textiel Museum in Tilburg, the Stedelijk's-Hertogenbosch, the MUDAC in Lausanne, the Mint Museum of Craft and Design in North Carolina, and the MAK Museum in Vienna.
