Faculty-led programsMADE provides classrooms, laboratories, and services for courses taught by partner school faculty. | 3. MADE LABSThe International Summer School of MADE Program. |
Customized programs and workshops
The way for our partner schools to meet your institution’s precise academic needs and goals through rich custom programs that inspire students, enhance curriculum and fit your schedule and budget.
You tell us the courses and activities you need and we will work with you to craft a program designed especially for you.
In this section you can find some examples of customized programs.
Faculty-led programs
Visiting faculty and their students gain study abroad experience in a unique setting. Faculty course leaders utilize existing MADE Program’s classrooms, laboratories, and services, so they can focus on teaching rather than managing the logistical challenges of being abroad.
Visiting faculty and students have an opportunity to engage with other visiting professors and MADE Program’s local faculty and staff, providing a bridge into the community and cross-cultural learning, combining at the same time the study abroad experience with the continuity of core curriculum courses.
A Faculty Led Program also allows teaching faculty to customize a series of guest lectures, field trips and cultural immersion activities that best suit the educational goals of their particular disciplines.
Program designs can vary significantly, and could include short-term or stand-alone programs, semester-long courses with some components such as spring or fall break or trips after the end of term, and long-term (semester or academic year) study abroad programs.
MADE LABS
Last but not least, another international proposal conceived by MADE Program is a world-renowned Summer School.
A series of one-week workshops, led by important creative professionals, addressed to designers, architects and artists, who are curious about new developments in their fields. A great opportunity to meet like-minded people, learn new skills, and explore new approaches in the inspiring setting of Siracusa. Every year a different theme will be developed.
