PAPYRUS
By analyzing the history of papyrus and its use over the centuries, the goal of the Papȳrus project m is to illustrate how the plant reached Sicily and became one of the symbols of the city of Syracuse, in a unique environment in the European context. Through the design of a book capable of effectively illustrating papyrus and its use in antiquity, we aim to contextualize and create awareness of the Sicilian territory, even by those who are unaware of the potential of this plant.
SICILY 40
The Sicilia 40 project is based on the identification of the cultural heritage of Sicily and its transposition onto a support that can be easily identified and whose content is quite understandable to those unaware of the history of the island. Buying simple playing cards in a foreign country is a way for anyone to keep a memory of the trip; moreover, it can constitute one of the elements for identifying and sharing the culture of the place. The effective design of a deck of playing cards can highlight the unique characteristics of Sicily, and the design of the main figures of the deck can help identify these qualities, allowing anyone who comes into contact with the product to focus their attention on the history of the island.
