DE SILIQUAE NATURA
“De siliquae natura” is a research project which is not descriptive but ethical. The investigation is aimed at recuperating from iblean culture the processing of the carob, one of the most ancient Sicilian fruits and also its possible use in various sectors of an eco-sustainable and circular industry.
The combination of natural fibers and glues has generated biomaterials, bioplastics, and multiple products of various consistencies and potential uses. A virtuous industrial process would make it possible to avoid wastes, toxic refuse and pollution, by transforming what today is considered a subproduct into an innovative resource.
