Martina Taranto is the professor for the course of Manifesto at MADE Program, for the MA in Design and Applied Crafts.
Martina Taranto is a Sicilian designer-artist. PhD candidate in ‘Scienze del Design’ for the programme ‘Culture del Progetto’ at IUAV (Venice) and MA graduate from the Royal College of Art (London) in 2019. Martina conducts practice-based research in the fields of regenerative and material design. Her practice aims to build a fluid dialogue cross-disciplines addressing human challenges and environmental causes through material practices of design for more-than-human worldling.
Between 2022 and 2023, Martina has worked as a researcher in the Design Department of the Politecnico di Milano in the field of Design and System Innovation for Sustainability. Martina’s studies and her material speculation have been exhibited and disseminated in the contexts of museums (ADI Design Museum, MAXXI), galleries around Europe, and through publications on scientific journals and design magazines (Domus, AD, Interni, Dezeen…).
