Alberto Moncada (Siracusa, 1979) is a Photography teacher at MADE Program.
Photographer and scuba diving guide, Alberto likes to define himself as an architectural and landscape photographer, but his versatility has also led him to successfully explore the realm of fashion photography over the years. His ambition for photography began at a young age and soon turned into a profession.
Alberto Moncada studied photography in Milan at IED and, during the same period, started collaborating with the photographer Giovanni Chiaramonte. This collaboration inspired him to specialize as an architectural photographer. During that time, he was selected to photograph the house of Mexican architect Luis Barragan in Mexico for the exhibition Entrez Lentement at the Milan Furniture Fair. In 2010, he founded Studio Mooz in Siracusa, his hometown.
In 2013, he made a breakthrough in fashion photography, collaborating with OMA / Rem Koolhaas in Rotterdam to photograph fashion shows for Prada and MiuMiu. In 2014, one of his photos was chosen for the relaunch and reopening of the magazine Abitare 538. His work has been published in various magazines and newspapers such as Abitare, Interni, Lotus, Domus, Frame, Ottagono, AD, Elle Decor, Wallpaper, Casamica, Case d’Abitare, Fantastic Man, and ArtReview.
