Cabin-out

Inside the cabin: ethics, aesthetics, design

How is it possible to find a meeting point between conceptual design (philosophy) and formal design? The intrinsic connection between the notion of life form and the notion of space is the bridge that was crossed by this three-week workshop. The project moved from the understanding to the realization of new spaces, metaphorically symbolized by the notion of "cabin”. Four "cabins," four different images of possible anthropologies for the future - inspired by Le Corbusier, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Henry David Thoreau, and Ted Kaczynski - connected to four design images alternative to the conventional idea of homo sapiens as something different from nature.
