Martina Distefano is a lecturer in Information Technology at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Siracusa MADE Program.
Born in Macerata in 1988, she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Syracuse in 2014. During and after her studies, she received several scholarships that allowed her to work as an architect and graphic designer in New Zealand, Portugal, and Brazil. After several years abroad, she returned to Italy to pursue her passion for graphic design, publishing, and Sicily.
In 2013, she collaborated with Move in Sicily, a project focused on enhancing the local area, where she developed Visual Content Marketing strategies. Since 2014, she has worked as a senior graphic designer and managed international relations for the publishing house LetteraVentidue, where she handles graphic design, cover design, and editorial series. In 2015, alongside Francesco Trovato, she founded Cirnauti, a graphic studio that produces self-published illustrations related to Sicily; since 2020, she has been the art director of the project, creating her own illustrations and coordinating the work of other artists.
