Leda Li Pira is a lecturer in Graphic Design at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Siracusa MADE Program.
She works in the field of visual communication and graphic design between Palermo, her city of origin, and Berlin, where she moved in 2010.
Li Pira has collaborated with publishing houses such as Steidl and Gestalten and participated in the 7th Berlin Art Biennale (2012) with the project "Happy New Fear" in collaboration with Bureau Mario Lombardo.
She is a co-founder of Ciao Ciao Studio, a graphic design studio active until 2022. In 2018, she conceived and curated the exhibition "One of a Type – A Typographic Journey Around Palermo" as part of the Manifesta 12 art biennale in Palermo. This project, sponsored by the Italian Association of Visual Communication Design (AIAP), featured the work of 32 designers from 12 different nationalities.
The catalog of the "One of a Type" exhibition was included in the "Il mestiere del grafico oggi" (2022) at La Triennale di Milano.
In addition to her professional activities, she has been teaching at the MADE Program since 2019.
