Harry Thaler

Harry Thaler teaches the Design course for the Master's Program in Design and Applied Crafts. 

Thaler is a designer who blends high-quality craftsmanship with innovative materials and forms. Trained as a goldsmith, he earned his MA in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in 2010 and opened his own studio in London, where his Pressed Chair gained immediate recognition.

Thaler collaborates with international companies like Nils Holger Moormann, Pulpo, and Davide Groppi, and also designs interiors and architectural projects. His work has been internationally exhibited and awarded. Now based in Merano, Italy, he converted a former silo into his studio. Thaler also taught at the Free University of Bolzano from 2016 to 2019.
