Francesco Faccin is a Design teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts of Siracusa MADE Program.
In 2004, after nearly two years of collaboration with Enzo Mari, he began working with luthier Francesco Rivolta. In 2007, he opened his studio in Milan, which has collaborated over the years with both Italian and international clients and brands, design galleries, private companies, public institutions, and NGOs. From 2009 to 2015, he was a consultant for Michele De Lucchi Studio. He teaches Product Design at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and has been teaching at the MADE Program since 2017.
His work has been published in international magazines. In 2017, he was chosen to represent Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities – for his project “Honey Factory,” an urban beehive commissioned by Marva Griffin for Expo 2015. The beehive was installed in the gardens of the Triennale di Milano for three years, replicated in Seoul with four units (with 20 more to follow), and requested in Japan and Germany. It is currently being considered for an engineering project that could bring it to cities worldwide.
