Marco Ferrari and Elisa Pasqual are professors of Design at the MADE Program of the Academy of Fine Arts in Syracuse.
In 2011, they co-founded Studio Folder, a design and research agency based in Milan. The studio’s work spans cultural and commercial domains, exploring independent research paths that result in a wide range of outputs, from data visualization to exhibition design, editorial products, and digital platforms.
Marco Ferrari is an architect and co-director of Studio Folder. His research focuses on the relationship between the politics of visual representation and the territory. He is a founding member of Salottobuono collective and he was the creative director of Domus magazine from 2011 to 2013. He has taught information design at IUAV University of Venice and representation methods at ISIA Urbino since 2010.
Elisa Pasqual is a designer and co-director of Studio Folder. She holds a Ph.D. in design sciences from IUAV University of Venice. Her research maps the evolution of visual communication of states, exploring the intersection of design, politics, and identity. Since 2008, she has taught Visual Design to BA and MA students at various universities in Venice, Milan, Lugano, and San Marino.
