Roberto Maria Clemente

Roberto Maria Clemente is a professor of Basic Design and Phenomenology of Design at the MADE Program, Academy of Fine Arts in Syracuse.

He holds a degree in Architecture from the Politecnico di Torino and was the founder and art director of the style magazine Label (1998–2007). For the past two decades, he has worked in the field of visual communication, particularly in cultural and social contexts, under the name Fionda since 2018. Roberto also teaches History of Graphic Design and Magazine Design at NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) in Milan, and Basic Design at the MADE Program in Syracuse. Since 2015, he has served as the Turin representative for Creative Mornings, an international network that hosts monthly events focused on creativity. Since 2017, he has been the artistic director of the Fflag gallery in Turin, which specializes in visual communication and related fields. Roberto curated the exhibition BemyCover, which showcased book covers from Penguin Random House over the last decade (Fflag, Turin, 2017 / Strand Bookstore, New York, 2018).
